Funny.
pcre IS istalled.
qmail:~/qmail # rpm -q pcre
pcre-7.8-1.26
My question is:
1. What can I do to install maildrop?
2. I can still make domain using qmailadmin, send and receive email using both
squirrelmail and SMTP/POP-3. What facility is missing if maildrop is NOT
installed?

Look in your file system for pcre.h. I'll be this is a development
package that needs to be installed.
Maildrop is used for mail filtering and scripting. While not required,
it is very useful.
