Wait a minute. I might be going to sound like an idiot here, but I'll
take that chance.
LDAP is a protocol, not an implementation. You can implement LDAP with
a mysql backend, can you not? If so, why couldn't you have a mysql
database that serves both vpopmail and ldap at the same time? I guess
it'd be a matter of mapping the database schemas together somehow. ...
Nice Idea... perhaps I am a Idiot too because I dont know how to do
that, but it's sounds great
I was using qmail with ldap solution, but since it wont handle spam very
nicely, my consultant change into qmt
at that time I think the server itself is not equipped with anti spam
solution
I have use qmt's vpopmail database for jabber and Intranet (Joomla)
authentication
so users only need 1 username/password to access the application.
but in order to do this I need to copy all records to other database and
make small change on table schema
since all I need from vpopmail table are pw_name, pw_gecos and
pw_(clear_)password
next I'll try to make samba server to authenticate using vpopmail database
