Is there a way to take advantage of Qmail toaster by installing it on a
machine without using the stock PHP and MySQL RPMS that come with CentOS
5.3?
I have been fighting this for a while and it appears I am almost there
with a bit of tweaking, however, I need to rebuild vpopmail manually, or
rebuild the src RPM to use my install of mysql which I built from
source. My installation of MySQL is located in the default location for
a source build at /usr/local.mysql, the src RPM for vpopmail-toaster
configures vpopmail to look elsewhere. I would like to adjust this
myself with custom vpopmail-toaster spec file, but I am just running
into problems doing so. For one, the scr RPM deletes the spec file. So
how can I unpack the src RPM to make my tweaks?
I know I should just run the whole thing the way it is, I should not be
tweaking this stuff and it is not recommended, however using the stock
PHP and MySQL is just not an option for me, nor is dedicating another
server just for a Toaster install, so please, how can I pull this off?
