Hello List!
Our QMail server is going to have its IP address changed to a completely
different address (10.0.0.3 to 192.168.0.3).
I have made a pre-planning and I basically devised the following:
- Take qmail down;
- Change the eth interfaces;
- Change the Qmail configuration;
- Update the DNS and Firewall rules;
What I’m worried about is Qmail in particular, I know I have to change
at least tcp.smtp, but I searched the other control files and found
nothing related to IP address.
Is there anything else (particularly in Qmail configuration, the other
stuff is OK) that I should worry about?
Thanks in advance!

There shouldn't necessarily be anything in the Qmail configuration where
the IP address is specified. An exception might be the
/var/qmail/control/me file, where some folks prefer to use an IP address
instead of a host name. If you have a host name there, you should be
good to go. Of course if you have the IP address there, you'll need to
change it. ;)
If you use the firewall.sh script from the installation procedures, be
sure to change that accordingly. You should also have an additional line
in there to allow access from you local subnet.
