Something's amiss in your run file.
Just guessing here. If the \ character at the end of a line, it must be
the very last character (it escapes the LineFeed, creating a
continuation on the next line). Did you perhaps edit this file with a
windows/dos editor, and get a CR put in the end of a line? Or some other
character (printable or not) perhaps?
Please post your run files.
