I've seen some connection attempts from Chinese IP addresses in the logs.
My toasters are used to filter incoming mail only; users aren't
allowed to connect remotely to send mail. We have an Exchange server
that handles that.

Never tried what you're asking. You could always install something like
fail2ban and have it block that user in the firewall table after they
attempt to brute force enough passwords.
