I know a few folks here have implemented fail2ban. I haven't done so
myself yet.
I came across a reference to this

on the spamdyke list today, which got me to wondering.
Is there a 'stock' configuration of some sort for fail2ban that would be
a good starting point (at least) for QMT servers? Will a few of you who
use fail2ban come up with a configuration that you agree would be
suitable for a QMT server?
I think it'd be nice to have a qtp-install-fail2ban script that would
install and configure fail2ban on a QMT server, in a similar fashion to
the qtp-install-spamdyke script. If a couple of you fail2ban users come
up with a configuration that you agree is suitable for QMT, I'll write
up a qtp-install-fail2ban script for QTP.
