There's an Outlook configuration parameter which controls that. I think it might be Tools->Options, Mail Format tab. In the Message Format section, is Rich Text set? If so, try changing it to HTML or Plain Text.

I'm not positive about this. Please let us know if this fixes it for you.


I've just been informed that you don't want to use the HTML setting either. Try Plain Text.
