My situation is that the CentOS 5.x kernel doesn't support the hardware
I'll be using. Fedora works out fine but I'm reluctant to use it. I'm
limited to SUSE 11.1 and higher, otherwise something like a Ubuntu LTS
server until CentOS 6 arrives.

When I added support for Suse 11, it was only for 32-bit. I did not have
hardware to test 64-bit at the time. It did build fine under 10 x86_64
though.
