Hi and thanks for the reply

I don't know... it worked perfectly, when i had the ipaddress which is
now eth0:7 (76.76.101.196) as eth0. I would have assumed, that the
number of aliases is not of any concern anyway, but since i added the
208.x subnet, qmail presistently uses its _very_ old first address.

The routing table looks pretty much stock:
