Hi Anil,

I'm using smart host for relaying outbound mail from my QMT. And
problem is my QMT is unable to authenticate with username and password
which I'm providing in smtproutes. But same username and password of
smart host are working very fine on mine other QMT server.

Regards,

Amit

Hi,

Why SMART HOST would be asking for authentication????

Authentication must be checked on the mailserver itself and not on
the SMARTHOST, isn’t it so???

Hi Jake,

Password is correct and same details work perfectly on another QMT
Server. Please let me know what details you required?

Hi Everyone,

On one of my server I'm using Smart Host to relay mail, but is not
working and giving below error in send log:

2010-05-09 01:37:36.089135500 delivery 1: deferral:
Connected_to_203.199.162.243_but_authentication_was_rejected_(password)./Remote_host_said:_503_Authentication_failed/

But same smart host is working on another QMT server.

Any help what can be issue?

Amit

The entry you gave us would indicate a bad password, but we do not
have any config files or logs to correlate this against.
