Not that I'm aware of. Someone else (Jake or others) might know
better though.
I've seen pipelining to check senders (or at least the existence of
Postmaster accounts) but never really saw the benefits of this.
Null senders are an RFC compliance thing. They're used for bounces.
For temporarily changing this to an actual sender - what are you
trying to accomplish?
I see more and more MX using this method, so my read receipts (having <>
as sender, of course) are rejected.
They use BATV: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bounce_Address_Tag_Validation.
I'm trying to understand pro and cons.
