I haven't used QMT with system accounts, so I don't know how this would
work. I don't even know if QMT can be configured to authenticate to
local as well as vpopmail users.
Is there some reason you're not simply using virtual accounts across the
board? How many system addresses do you have?
FWIW, you can use any virtual account for submitting. You could simply
use the postmaster's name and pw for submission, or you could create a
special user to be used only for submission. The outbound account
doesn't necessarily have anything to do with the incoming account/store.

I've been running for a number of years, but would like to start using
secure submission when on the road. I can connect to 587, but
authentication fails. This is a system account, and not a vpopmail
account.
The config file authmodulelist contains authshadow authvchkpw.
Error:
535 authentication failed (#5.7.1)
Can anyone help? The wiki does not provide useful information for
debugging/configuring/resolving this issue.
Thanks
