I don't know. Sounds to me more like an Imapsync question than a dovecot
question though. ;) If you get stuck with Imapsync, would fetchmail
perhaps do the trick for you?

Actually, I think I have figured another way to get it to work. It was an
IMAPSYNC issue. I used a tool that some nice person on this list posted
(IMAP Tools) and the IMAPCOPY.PL worked well.
