In searching other posts on this list,
noticed that another user was having the issue with perl modules missing.
He was instructed to use YUM to install the
missing perl packages and then in the future
the qtp scripts would be able to
update.

Is this correct resolution for this issue.

Sorry for the long post, and very much appreciate your time.

Long post is fine. Nice to see meaningful information. :)

Firstly, perl module updates aren't a show stopper. I would think of them as warnings on COS4, as I'm not sure of their availability for COS4.

COS4, while still supported, won't be for a lot longer. IIRC, its EOL is Feb2012. As long as you're updating, you should look into getting to COS5 if at all possible. A clean install of COS5 is best, but if you must upgrade in place, see
http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/MigrationGuide/ServerCD_4.4_to_5

I'm not positive about the status of unionfs with regards to COS4. If you can't get to COS5 before having to upgrade QMT, I'd choose to build a new sandbox, pick 'n' for unionfs sandbox and choose a Linked sandbox. This won't take a ton of space but it will take a good bit of time (perhaps a couple hours) to build the sandbox.
