Hi,
We have noticed that the delay seems happens during peak hours. I.O. usage on
the Server during peak hours is normal and sending emails between local
accounts are received normally. Do you think this could be a Internet bandwidth
issue, coz as per checking our Leased line MRTG it seems that we are consuming
over our limit of 3.5mbps during peak hours ?

Keep in mind that the sent time is determined by the sender's pc time. If the
clock is (way) off in their PC, this can be what you're seeing.
The message headers will show when the message was actually sent and passed
through the various servers involved.

You'll need to look through the smtp logs to find the messages that correspond
to the email in question. qmlog is a useful tool for doing this. qmlog lets you
search by whatever you like. I would use the -lc (log contains) option.

The smtp log messages will show when exactly messages from the sender actually
arrived. You can use the subject line to match up multiple messages from the
same sender. The log messages will also show whether or not spamdyke graylisted
them.
