As has been noted on here on numerous occasions, the upgrade of QMT to
officially support CentOS 6 is currently on hold, pending other system
upgrades that were/are already in progress when CentOS upped their version.
To be clear -- official support of CentOS 6 is NOT currently under
development, but IS on the project roadmap and will be addressed when
some other feature/functionality upgrades have been completed. Until
then, the OFFICIALLY SUPPORTED host operating system is CentOS 5.
That being said, there are some who are impatient -- and to serve you, I
(and some others) have provided some minimal assistance... so, if you're
doing a clean install, please feel free to use my script located at
http://mirror9.qmailtoaster.com/QMT-CentOS6.sh
There are some minimal issues with PHP scripting and the
toaster-admin/vpopmail admin web pages, but all CLI interfaces work
perfectly (as far as we can tell so far).
NOTE: This script is UNOFFICIAL and is still under development, but it
DOES install the requisite dependencies, which are very different from
CentOS 5.
Thus far, I have had 3 other people report complete success with running
this script on a NEW CentOS 6 install. No one that I am aware of has
tried it in a migration/upgrade environment.
If you use it, I would appreciate feedback as to how it goes for you (as
well as feedback in general -- like if you think the script is too
chatty, or not chatty enough, etc.)
