The latest clamav-toaster package is now available. Besides upgrading to
the latest upstream changes, the package now builds cleanly on COS6 with
no fuzz adjustment.
*** PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING ***
The package no longer contains the virus database definition files. This
reduces the clamav-toaster package size by 66%, and the total of all
*-toaster packages by 50%. FYI, here are the sizes of the present QMT

This substantially lightens the load on our mirror sites, to the point
where some of you may now be able to host a mirror. If you can do so,
please join the qmt-mirrors list
(mailto:[email protected]) where your request to be a
mirror will be serviced by Dan's excellent tutelage. We could always use
a few more mirrors, especially in South America and Australia and Asia.
You should be wondering how the virus databases are obtained now, since
they're not part of the clamav-toaster rpm any more. The installation
process (spec file) has been modified to run freshclam as part of the
%post{-install} processing, so freshclam will download the latest
main.cvd and daily.cvd files at the end of the installation process.
This process might take a few minutes, so if you want to absolutely
minimize the down time during the upgrade, you should download the
main.cvd and daily.cvd files from the http://www.clamav.net/lang/en/
site into your /usr/share/clamav/ directory before doing the upgrade.
Also, be sure to
# yum update qmailtoaster-plus
before running qtp-newmodel in order to pick up the change for the
mirrors domain (is .com now instead of .net).
