Quite true. I'll throw in my 2 cents worth though.
The GPT keeps a 2nd copy of the partition table at the end of the drive.
If that hasn't been corrupted, you might be able to restore using that.
Hopefully you didn't run fsck while the partition was mounted. You NEVER
want to do that.
Check with the FreeNAS folks though. You'll likely find more expertise
in this area there.
