Yes. QMT automatically uses TLS when available for both sending and
receiving.

Maybe I should have answered more precisely. That's what I was talking about. Server-to-server communication. ;)

If you use spamdyke, that shows in its log messages whether encryption (TLS) is used or not. I'm not aware off hand of any indication in the qmail-send logs. It's the qmail-remote program which initiates TLS when sending. See "man qmail-remote" for details.
