In that case, I would split QMT across 2 (or more) separate devices. QMT-a could be set up as a proxy to QMT-b. More devices doesn't necessarily mean more software (or more hardware, if you use virtualization). I would not hesitate to remind the security department that adding a separate device means more points of failure. ;)

Hi Eric,

Thanks for the idea, will install spamdyke but
we had verification by security department and they recommended
adding a separate device (physical). : - |
Recommendation to be made, as recorded in the final report :-(

Best regards,
Nikolay

Hi Guys,

I need advice about SMTP proxy.
You must install transparent SMTP proxy server for my QMT,
I chose ASSP
"http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/assp/index.php?title=Main_Page";,
but worry about the statistics of emails (isoqlog and awstats for
qmail).

Have a nice day,
Nikolay

What are you trying to accomplish by using ASSP?

If you haven't done so already, I would recommend installing spamdyke. I
expect you will find that with spamdyke installed, you may no longer have a
need for ASSP.

Spamdyke will severely lighten the load on your QMT host, by rejecting 80%+
of spam before it's even transmitted to your server. Spamdyke is very
powerful and flexible, and easy to administer.

The qtp-install-spamdyke script in the QTP package
(http://qtp.qmailtoaster.com) is the easiest way to get spamdyke installed.
There is also help on the wiki.

Spamdyke will be incorporated into the QMT core at some point.
