+1.
Wow, I didn't realize that vqadmin was showing this. Vqadmin was broken
for so long (I didn't even install it until recently, but haven't really
used it at all) that I haven't even noticed.
In the meantime, it should be fairly simply to hack the qmailadmin
source to show the encrypted password instead of the plain text one. If
someone were to make a patch for this, I would consider including the
patch in the stock package.

Vivek Patil,
In short answer -- not just now...
Long answer: At the current release, the vpopmail MySQL database
includes both an encrypted AND a plain-text copy of the user passwords.
There are plans in the works to remove the plain-text entry, although
there are also some objections to doing so.
I think that perhaps there will be a compromise made somewhere -- like
keeping the plain-text entry as writeable, but only root readable.
Either way, I agree that the toaster-admin tool probably shouldn't be
showing user passwords in plain text (esp. since I've run into so many
QMT installs that still use admin/toaster as the credentials!)
Either way, it is a feature update that is already in the works. If you
would like to discuss the issue further with the development team,
