The folks at clamav are in need of more statistics from the field. The
stock QMT configuration is to not provide stats.
I think it would be appropriate to change the default QMT configuration
to provide stats to the clamav developer. This happens as part of the
freshclam updates, and simply involves scanning the freshclam log and
sending statistics whenever freshclam is run. The overhead is
negligible, and I think it would be the right thing to do. Of course,
you may choose to manually turn this feature off in the freshclam.conf file.
