Ok Got spamdyke up and running.
Seems to be catching the spam very well..
This domain has no local accounts at this time other than postmaster and
other admin accounts.
So I have a forward [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]>
-> Exchange users.
I also need support staff to send mail as [email protected]
<mailto:[email protected]> but this get blocked based on relay rules. .
What’s would be the best way to set that up ?
I can think of a few that should work but I’m new to mail administration
would rather do it the best way that doesn’t open any holes or create
management issues as people move in and out of support rolls. .
Thanks for all the help so far !
I haven't honestly done much with Exchange. I presume that if you're
using Exchange, the clients are using Outlook.
I know some of the others here have done a little integration between
QMT and Exchange.
I think your options pretty much hinge on Outlook, or whatever client
software you're using. You might be able to configure clients to submit
straight to QMT instead of going through Exchange. As that would require
configuration on each client, I think the simplest would be to get
Exchange to relay through QMT. I'm not sure if Exchange would let users
send as support@ though. QMT doesn't check the sender address though
against the authentication account.
HTH.
Anyone else (who's perhaps actually used Exchange)?
