Is the older non-YUMable stuff still around and for how much longer?
The *-toaster packages are still around, and will remain available for the time being. They won't generally be updated though, except for upstream changes for clamav. I'll continue to update clamav-toaster so long as changes aren't very major (the change is fairly simply).
New QMT features and changes will only be made to the .qt. packages, which are available in the mirrors' yum repos. Source packages are also available of course, but qtp-newmodel will not be modified to use the .qt. packages.
Running the .qt. packages on COS5 is certainly an option. The only concern I would have with the actual changeover from *-toaster to .qt. packages. In theory, you should be able to qtp-backup the *-toaster system, remove all the *-toaster packages, then do the .qt. install and qt-restore the backup. As long as you're doing that though, I don't know why you wouldn't rebuild with COS6 in the process.
HTH. If you have more questions, please ask. Thanks. -- -Eric 'shubes' --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [email protected] For additional commands, e-mail: [email protected]
