Seems to be dovecot related all right, especially if you're (still)
using qmail-pop3d for pop3.
I presume that squirrelmail also has a problem authenticating this account?
I'd try googling this, or searching the dovecot list. There might be
something in the dovecot list or docs about this. If not, we may need to
take it to the dovecot list (Timo's very responsive) for a resolution or
further help.
