Jim,
Some questions:
Do you have two separate QMT email servers: Server1 and Server2?
Yes
If so...
You put the domain 'theppsgroup.com' on Server2?
I did but now wish to NOT have it on server 2
You have a functional QMT server in Server1?
I do , it works OK
You are trying to send email from an account on Server2
([email protected]) to and account on Server1, and the reverse?
yes
from server 2 to server 1
I can send from server 1 to server 2
but I have a "testing" domain on server 2[ data-wranglers.com ; u=
[email protected] ]
My intent was to get server 2 working with this test domain , test
users and then when It seems that all is well
switch the ipnum of server 2 to the num of server 1 [ actually switch
the ipnums and server1 will remain as a spare ]
and have the "desired" domains ( eg theppsgroup.com ,, i have about 5
tot ) populated with real users
then after an arp cach clear ( or 4 hours ) ...server 2 would then be
primary
My problem is I cannot send from server 2 to the domain theppsgroup.com.
You may have to put an entry in /var/qmail/control/smtproutes on each
server pointing to the appropriate domains if they aren't DNS'ed
somewhere.
If they are DNS'ed somewhere you may need a reverse route on your
firewall if the QMT host is NAT'ed behind a firewall.
