hi

i have 6 users belonging to a single domain abc.com

user1 to [email protected]

the company abc.com needs a restriction that these 6 users shall send and
receive external emails (R and E) in empf to only 290 different domains that
are specified.
and these 6 users can send receive emails internally within abc.com.

i have formed the rule as below

abc.com:LREI,user1:R(*@a1.com,*@a2.com,*@a3.com, .....
*@a290.com)E(*@a1.com,*@a2.com,*@a3.com, ..... *@a290.com)

the same applies to user2, user3

questions

1) i am gettting error "broken policy" after i put around 50 domains. how to
resolve this.

2) also i wished to know if i put the rules for each user on a different line

example
abc.com:LREI,user1:R(*@a1.com,*@a2.com,*@a3.com, .....
*@a290.com)E(*@a1.com,*@a2.com,*@a3.com, ..... *@a290.com)
abc.com:LREI,user2:R(*@a1.com,*@a2.com,*@a3.com, .....
*@a290.com)E(*@a1.com,*@a2.com,*@a3.com, ..... *@a290.com)
abc.com:LREI,user3:R(*@a1.com,*@a2.com,*@a3.com, .....
*@a290.com)E(*@a1.com,*@a2.com,*@a3.com, ..... *@a290.com)

i read online and checked the policy.c file and the limit here is 4096
characters but that is not enough.

the number of characters in 290 domains is around 4700. for R and E and 6 users
i will need 12 times this figure ie around 56400 characters.

is it advisable to edit the policy.c file

could somebody please guide me
