hi centos 6 64 bit version, qmailtoaster latest with spamassasain and dovecot
server is dell r420 hexcore machine with hyperthreading- 16 gb ram. and 600 gb 15k rpm drives. around 4500 email ids on this serve with email traffic of around 70000 emails in 8 hours. am using this server for the past over 1 year. for the last 10 days i am getting an error qq softreject mailserver temporarily rejected your connection on both my smtp and submission ports this happens during peak hours twice a day. once this starts then all almost all connections are rejected in both port smtp and submission ports everytime i have to stop qmail and run queue_repair.py and then restart qmail. if i do that in the morning it works till evening and again i get same error qmail smtp and submission run - memory is 100 mb smtp port : maxconcurrency - 200 submission port : maxconcurrency - 200 databytes is : 25mb i have tried rebooting the server but the error reappears i also get errors like the following which queue_repair.py does not fix. 2015-10-08 19:09:41.532140500 warning: unable to open todo/1840105 2015-10-08 19:09:41.532152500 warning: unable to open todo/1840139 2015-10-08 19:09:41.532159500 warning: unable to open todo/1839744 2015-10-08 19:09:41.532166500 warning: unable to open todo/1840160 2015-10-08 19:09:41.532173500 warning: unable to open todo/1840166 2015-10-08 19:09:41.532180500 warning: unable to open todo/1839733 2015-10-08 19:09:41.532187500 warning: unable to open todo/1839770 permissions of all these todo files are -rw------- 2 qmailq qmail 1) so why is qmail smtp not able to open these files ? 2) how do i get rid of these qq softreject errors ? rajesh
