I have tried the following procedure and the issue has been resolved.

cd /home/vpopmail/domains/domain.com/email/Maildir/cur

ls 1648520179.28619.mail.domain.com,S=6322:2, -lh

mv 1648520179.28619.mail.domain.com,S=6322:2,  /home/vpopmail/domains/
domain.com/email/Maildir/

systemctl restart dovecot
