oh, yes - my error. I think the same what you wrote. Polling in the base
class. Probably we could add both outside the base class. But caching
should definitly not going inside the base class. One reason is that
caching should be use the same interface (and class) through different
"transport" layouts (xmlhttp, iframes, ...).

That is exactly what we meant Oliver. It's a nice feature for some
applications needs, but should not be implemented in the base class.
