Open-source AJAX widget toolkits are all in the early stages of
development, and qooxdoo has an opportunity to make a big impression if it
gets it right.

I have experience of working with a number of open-source projects -
Python, wxWidgets, wxPython, wxMozilla, SQLite, PySQLite plus various
other tools so I've seen what works and what doesn't.

Adding a Wiki will go a little way to solving the problem - clear
instructions on how to use extensions (and the code for the extensions
themselves) would be easy for contributors to maintain.

Sorting this out is critical for the future of qooxdoo. Building up and
managing a community who contribute to the project is very important, not
just for the extra features they bring, but also for the perception of the
project when it is being evaluated by possible new users.

Current super-users (like Kent) are being deterred from making
contributions because of difficulties. You have to be very careful not to
put these people off, otherwise it will severely hamper progress and also
acceptance of the project.

On the other hand, I understand that the current state of flux of the
project as 0.2 is prepared means that it is difficult to handle
contributions. But it should be a priority after release.
