Is there a class to extract information from the url of the current

I'm currently using a few functions (you can see them at the bottom) and
would like to replace them to minimize the dependancy to script other
then qooxdoo...
Lorenzo
PS: If there's nothing similar and you developers thinks they could be
useful, feel free to include them in the next release (I would be honored!)
Thank you for your contribution. Have you any interest to build more
features around it? Such as support for user and password in urls and
such stuff? Also what's about to capsulate these methods in a namespace
like QxUrl? I am really interested in your help here. :)
Sebastian
P.S. Is there any reason why you use
result = document.location.protocol + "//" + document.location.host +
document.location.pathname;
instead of a simple:
result = location.href
?
getSiteUrl = function()
{
var result;
var params;
var index;
result = document.location.protocol + "//" + document.location.host
+ document.location.pathname;
while (result.charAt(result.length - 1) != "/")
{
result = result.substring(0, result.length - 1);
}
result = result.substring(0, result.length - 1);
return result;
};
getParam = function(name, alternativeUrl)
{
var params;
var index;
var result;
if ((endodedUrl === undefined) || (endodedUrl === null))
{
params = document.location.search.substring(1,
document.location.search.length);
}
else
{
params = alternativeUrl.split("?")[1];
}
params = params.split("&");
result = "";
for (index = 0; index < params.length; index++)
{
var parts;
parts = params[index].split("=");
if (parts[0] == name)
{
result = parts[1];
break;
}
}
return result;
};
