just in case you are considering to answer my prior post - don't: I have been able to access the 'on-the-fly' object. I have followed my own suspicion: I can indeed find it below the "loFrame" object by using the 'getChildren' function.
While exploring possible solutions within qooxdoo I had a look at QxObjectDataBase but found it not to be suitable for this purpose (just in my test app I saw it holding roundabout 1000 objects and having to iterate through it to find something is out of the question for low level routines).
