Hi Manuel, 

It is possible to change the cygwin path.
You have to change the path in the file C:\cygwin\etc\passwd - c:\cygwin
stands for the directory in which you have installed cygwin. 
You will have to find the line that links to your windows-login-account and
change the part that says /home/usrname. When you restart cygwin, the shell
will open directly with the chosen path.
