A bit OT: the writer of this article claims that Backbase is the only mature framework offering all those features.
I've experimented Backbase some time ago, while we were choosing a framework for our application. We have chosen Qooxdoo for many reasons, not only the fact that Backbase has an high price. Backbase is a lot more "webbish": is quite difficult to build an application with a strongly custom behaviour, Qooxdoo is much more flexible. On the other hand Backbase maintains some concepts behind the web as we used to know it: I think the project's aim is strictly on rich web pages while Qooxdoo gives far higher degree of freedom. IMHO Qooxdoo's Ajax is made to create something new and different from web 1.0, the writer of the article looks for something that brings some enhancement to web 1.0 without building a different concept of web. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
