Hi everyone,

it has been quite some weeks since the last qooxdoo release. Isn't it
time for another maintenance release 0.6.2? Well, we think it is. ;-)

Our current plan is to try to make 0.6.2 available by Nov 22. It still
depends on some topics that are currently in the works, though.

Besides many bug fixes and various minor changes, the most noticeable
improvement will be Safari support. Cool, eh? Well, to be more precise,
it will rather be "Webkit support". The nightly builds of Webkit (that
will lead to the next official Safari release) are tremendously faster
and less buggy than the latest Safari 2.0.4. Some info about qooxdoo's
upcoming Safari/Webkit support has already been posted on our
developers' blog. Expect to see more info around/after the time of the
0.6.2 release.

Please share with us any input regarding the scheduled qooxdoo release,
especially if you work against the current trunk and notice any strange
behavior or if you still want to contribute code or patches.

To the qooxdoo committers and patch monsters :-) : please add info for
any of your relevant contributions to the (now empty) section of 0.6.2
in the release notes. This helps us in getting the release done and
makes sure no important changes slipped the net. Thanks!

Bye,

Andreas
