Quickstart is the application which is only and should only be used to generate the distributed archive as downloadable from the qooxdoo download page. It is not meant to use it directly from the folder. Yes, the application is stripped down to the basics. You don't need to install any software or other stuff to play with the quickstart (when downloaded zipped).
