We already have such a forum: this mailing list.  Mailing lists don't require
any thought; the messages just pop up when they arrive and it's not necessary
to go in search of them.  I know myself very well: although there are numerous
web forums that I would have an interest in, I just don't get around to
visiting them.  Also, with email, one can choose the interface one wants to
use, where with a web forum, one is stuck with something that is desirable for
some and entirely undesirable for others.

I was monitoring the #qooxdoo IRC channel for a while, but no one showed up.
I do monitor this list and respond to messages that are within my area of
knowledge as I have time.

I, at least, would much prefer to keep the technical discussions right here,
and make occasional use of IRC for discussions in real time.
