Sorry, there might be some parallel discussion with Christian that you are not aware of? Of course, it is very interesting to restart that project, that is why we are discussing the possibilities for its development and contribution. :-) > I've done work at documentation (draft version). As we recently posted here, it is planned to offer a much better way to allow for user contributions to the framework. That was far from optimal in the past. The work on setting up the relevant structures simply isn't finished yet, so it was not an option for committing any new code or docs of transformer project in the last few days. Regarding your question and expectation on how the qooxdoo core developers could do relevant development for the transformer (particularly its build process): it depends. Right now we only know Christian's rough idea he sent to us last Saturday. I expect the docs you just committed will also help to get an idea how the whole project is expected to work and where exactly you need help. We are just very busy and focused to finish work on 0.7-alpha2 before the Easter holidays and your initial input was too vague for any kind of commitment. It is a very popular concept to offer an alternative model for creating web interfaces, based on declarative markup (XML). Of course, the current JavaScript-based programming model will continue to be in the development focus of qooxdoo (at least on our side). We'll get into the proposed transformer concept in more detail asap and I am sure it will become a great addition to the qooxdoo framework - with a lot of community contribution, I hope ;-) Andreas ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
