Hello everybody,

slowly, the "qxtransformer" xml gui builder is taking shape. We are
slowly working our way to support all widgets that qooxdoo supports. The
result of this weekend has been the first tab of the qooxdoo "showcase".
You can view it here:

http://qxtransformer.sourceforge.net/svn/trunk/apps/qxtransformer-skeleton/build/

There, you can also view the xml syntax used to build the frame and the
first tab there. Compare the xml with the original javascript and judge
for yourself what you find more fun to write.

We are now going through all the widgets and additionally will throw in
some goodies such as script inclusion, macro substitution and "global
event" support. And more to come, such as data binding and automagical
drag&drop support.

The source will undergo heavy changes in the next few weeks, so we don't
advise to use the current code yet. We'll publish it together with some
documentation etc. But at this point, we'd be interested what users
expect from a XML gui description...

Christian
