Hello Siarhei.

it could be under 6h if I hadn't to learn how to destroy the objects
from the form, I hadn't done this before and the docs are not so good at
that point (or I didn't found the right page in the wiki ;) ).
As said, I think that qooxdoo had a lot of nice functions that made such
project easy, like selecting an tree element by passing its reference
(which I saved in the form object).

Until I tested Tibcos Gui Builder I also thought that a GUI Builder in
Javascript isn't an extrem bad Idea, but there system works really good.
They even have a LOCAL file save and load function. And they based the
gui on xml files that can be edited in two-way (editor->xml and
xml->editor).

Eclipse is a very good choose for such a Tool, I use it all day for my
work (even this tool is written in eclipse).
But there are also disadvantages of an external tool compared with an
"original" version.

If you had an qooxdoo based gui builder you could directly use external
new components without any much todo, if qooxdoo had an way to mark
properties to be used in gui builder and allowes special edit helpers
(like an Treeview item editor, an menu item editor and so on) you could
write components for qooxdoo like you do it for example for Delphi.

If you do this with eclipse I think there is the problem of rendering
the components (I don't now the technology of GMF), isn't that done like
in Delphi4PHP with an "image" workaround?
And hasn't the developer of the qooxdoo component has to write java code
to allow special editors for his components? (like the said treeview
item editor)?

For me, as said in an older mail, it's not so important which way is
choosen here because most time I won't use a gui editor :)
I think that qooxdoo itself is allready better then all other libs I had
tested (I think I didn't mist an importend), even the examples are the
best around, and ANY Gui Builder for users who likes such would be a
huge step in the right direction.

Greetings,
  Leander
