Hi list, I would like to share my experiences with qooxdoo and a custom browser:
I'm very happy of the results of using Qooxdoo in a custom browser based on Firefox (XulRunner). It's hard to tell a web page is used as the UI. In this way, I'm changing gradually my desktop app to be qooxdoo-based. The end user doesn't perceive any missed feature compared to the old solution, and I have a controlled environment. My app can also be used in a regular browser like IE or FF. With the custom browser I can provide extra functions in Javascript that allow e.g. clipboard management (copy/paste) and write to local file, that aren't available to regular Javascript. The best of all, is that the custom browser doesn't need any installation, just copying files, and it's easy to deploy with my app. Regards, David -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Custom-browser-tf4309979.html#a12269737 Sent from the qooxdoo-devel mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
