Hi Fabio,
Got your attachments :-).
Concerning ...
missing-rights.zip:
- I did a 'make build', but the resulting index.html (and in fact, the
whole build tree) was readable alright. Opening the index.html in the
browser was no problem.
- Please send the output of your 'umask' command from a bash prompt.
- One remark: You were using absolute paths for your QOOXDOO_PATH/URI in
your Makefile (/cygdrive/d/PROGRA~1/Development/qooxdoo;
file://D:/Program%20Files/Development/qooxdoo).
This is highly deprecated; use relative paths (e.g.
../../PROGRA~1/Development/qooxdoo; ../$(QOOXDOO_PATH)) instead. (This
has no bearing on the missing rights issue).
- One other remark: The index.html named the qooxdoo script wrongly
('net.sf.custom.js' instead of 'net.sf.js').
- In one of your initial mails, you wrote: "Interesting: Modifying the
skeleton did not produce this error, however copying
the whole directory structure did." - I'm not sure I fully understand
what you mean here, but if you unpacked a vanilla skeleton where the
'make build' worked, and then copied the skeleton elsewhere and then the
'make build' showed the rights problem, it is even more an indication
that the issue lies with your shell environment.
qooxdoo-0.7.1-skeleton.zip (the "Malformed settings key:
"net.sf.custom.resourceUri"" issue):
- This is by design. Though you can choose arbitrary deep namespaces,
settings and variants allow only simple 'namespace' identifiers in the
keys. Usually, this is the APPLICATION_NAME from the Makefile, but you
can choose any primitive (not containing ".") string to generate the
settings key.
Cheers,
=Thomas
