It will lead to the next (maintenance) release 0.7.3. However, do not expect that the legacy_0_7_x branch will always be at a stable state. It is our main target to keep the legacy_0_7_x branch as stable as possible, but some changes may lead to a unstable state for short period of time.
To summarize: If you need the fixes of the legacy branch and if you do not mind having a unstable state for a short period of time (if at all) go ahead for the branch. Otherwise wait until the 0.7.3 release arrives. This release will come with all the latest bugfixes and will be the next stable release you can develop against.
