The Progressive widget, which comes pre-packaged with a
progressively-rendered table supporting variable row height and a progress
bar, and a progressive loader which shows a semi-transparent window with a
progress bar while letting the user see the page as it's being built (useful
feedback as to progress) is now working for 0.8 in trunk. In addition to
the feature set from 0.7, Progressive now gets its colors from the active
theme, and Progressive's Table appearance has been made similar to the Table
widget for applications that need to use both.
The demobrowser now has a "progressive" branch of the demo tree with a
number of demos of the pre-packaged capability. Don't let that pre-packaged
capability limit you, though! Progressive is intended as a general-purpose
widget allowing small steps of a larger process to be executed or rendered
progressively, so the enterprising user will likely find many other possible
applications for Progressive.
Please let me know of any problems you find.
Cheers,
Derrell
