This might be related with bug 1017 [1]. This "magic" URI trick was added to
all server requests, something which was useless in some cases (like in POST
requests, which aren't meant to be cached at all according to the HTTP
specification), but of course it makes sense for loading scripts, specially
if it's done using GET requests. Additional information in a related thread
[2].

As a side note, I haven't been able to test the proposed code changes
(referred in the related thread [2]) yet. As usual, new information will be
posted whenever possible. ;-)
