Sure, wz definitely has its limitations, but so do canvas and vml, e.g. they
are not cross-browser. I'm designing SimpleScalableVectorGraphics so that
various rendering engines can be plugged in. My first engine is wz, but
later engines can include canvas, vml, svg, etc. The upper-level functions
wll select the best available engine, allowing applications to be written
that don't care about which browser is being used and which engine is
available, and (with some limitations depending upon the engine) the details
of rendering will just magically work.
