Kanugula, We use Selenium and find that it works reasonably well. There are some issues with cross-browser compatibility but overall it's been very helpful. It's easy to develop basic tests using the plugin for Firefox (Selenium IDE). We write our real tests in Python, a language we are familiar with.
Our tester soaks up slack time by writing tests that cover bugs that we have found, for full regression testing. So over time it's getting better and better.
