You can add windows to all classes, which implement IDesktop <http://demo.qooxdoo.org/current/apiviewer/#qx.ui.window.IDesktop>. Specifically this is the root widget, which is the default desktop, and the Desktop widget <http://demo.qooxdoo.org/current/apiviewer/#qx.ui.window.Desktop>.
You can create the desktop widget inside of any other widget. You need to explicitly add windows to a desktop using the .add() method since otherwise they are attached to the default desktop (the root). Windows cannot be dragged outside of a desktop. I think its best to take a look at the code of the desktop demo <http://demo.qooxdoo.org/current/demobrowser/#widget~Desktop.html>. Please note that we have fixed some bug related to the desktop widget after 0.8 so it might be necessary to use the trunk or wait for 0.8.1 Best Fabian -- Fabian Jakobs JavaScript Framework Developer 1&1 Internet AG Brauerstraße 48 76135 Karlsruhe Amtsgericht Montabaur HRB 6484 Vorstand: Henning Ahlert, Ralph Dommermuth, Matthias Ehrlich, Thomas Gottschlich, Matthias Greve, Robert Hoffmann, Markus Huhn, Oliver Mauss, Achim Weiss Aufsichtsratsvorsitzender: Michael Scheeren ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ qooxdoo-devel mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/qooxdoo-devel
